More Than What We Make.

The people. The process. The racing. The ideas. The places we go. A look inside the culture that drives Birdworx.

HOW IT STARTED

Birdworx started long before it had a name.

Owner Jason Curtis grew up loving anything that involved art and design. When motorcycle racing became his life, that never went away. How the bikes looked, how the crew looked and how the entire program came together mattered.

It wasn't just about showing up to race.

It was about looking like you belonged there.

SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY, TWO WORLDS COLLIDED.

Cycling started as a way to train for motorcycle racing. Eventually it became much more than that.

That led Jason to Surf City Cyclery, where racer and team manager Mike Fello gave him an opportunity to try something different with the helmets the team was using.

There wasn't a template to download or some fancy program that did the work. The helmet had to be figured out, drawn and developed by hand.

That first helmet gave the team something different. Something other teams weren't doing.

And the idea stuck.

FROM ONE HELMET TO BIRDWORX.

When the motorcycle racing chapter eventually ended, that idea didn't go away.

It became Birdworx.

What started with one cycling team and one helmet has grown into cycling, motorsports, hockey, team programs, apparel and plenty of ideas we're still working on.

But the thinking behind it hasn't really changed.

Hand drawn. From the start.

More Than Helmet Graphics.

Birdworx isn't really about helmet graphics.

It's about giving someone another place to tell their story. It's about giving a rider something that feels like theirs. And it's about helping a team give its sponsors more than another logo on the front or back of a jersey. And it's about helping the people around the sport look and feel like they belong to something.

The products are the canvas.

The people, the stories and the culture are what matter.
